Jeffrey Seppala

Bass-baritone, Jeffrey Seppala is a versatile performer who has been lauded for his mellifluous voice and moving characterizations.  He has extensive experience in operatic and concert repertoire having performed with companies such as Opera Idaho, Opera Montana, Opera Colorado, Central City Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, the Piccolo Festival in Friuli, Italy, Boise Baroque, Boise Philharmonic, and MahlerFest.  Recent role credits include Frère Laurent in Roméo et Juliette, Angelotti in Tosca, Banco in Macbeth, Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Dottore Grenvil in La Traviata, Colonel in The Falling and the Rising, Umberto in La Serva Padrona, Soldier in All is Calm, Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola, and Baron Zeta in Merry Widow.  Notable solo concert appearances include Haydn’s Creation, Bach’s Mass in B Minor, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Duruflé’s Requiem.  Jeffrey currently serves as Associate Professor of Voice and the Director of Opera and Musical Theatre at Boise State University.
