Panel Discussion on Transgender Representation in Media & Art

Join original creative team members, As One artists, and professionals from the social service community in Eugene for a free public panel discussion on May 16, at 7pm in the Knight Library Browsing Room.

The panel will feature As One creators Laura Kaminsky, Mark Campbell, Kimberly Reed, as well as Oblio Stroyman, the Executive Director of TRANS*ponder, undergraduate UO student Lilly Bonasera, and Keturah Stickann, Eugene Opera Stage Director.

Opera singers Hannah Penn and Robert Wesley Mason will perform excerpts from the work. The event will be moderated by Bethany Grace Howe, PhD student at the UO School of Journalism and Communication. Discussion topics will include representation of transgender persons in media, as well as the creative process and social impact of As One.

A limited number of free tickets to the opera As One will be given to UO students with current identification. Tickets are subject to availability.
